Getting a straight answer on concreting is harder than it should be.
Quotes that arrive a fortnight late, if at all. Prices that shift once work starts. Vague answers about what's under your existing driveway, or whether the truck can get down your side passage.
We come out, measure the site properly, and put the scope and the price in writing. If something could change the cost, like poor access, a slab that needs removing, or drainage that needs sorting, you'll hear about it at the quote stage instead of halfway through the pour.
Worried about hiring the wrong concretor?
Most people get concreting done a handful of times in their life, and the horror stories travel fast. If any of these sound familiar, here's how we handle each one.
"They never sent the quote."
Chasing a tradie for a fortnight just to get a number wastes your planning time. Every enquiry gets an answer, even when the answer is that we're booked out or not right for the job.
Get your written quote →"The price doubled once work started."
Nobody likes surprises on an invoice. Our quotes list what's included, what isn't, and anything we can see that might move the price, like poor access or an old slab that needs removing. You approve the number before anything is poured.
See exactly what's included →"Concrete cracked within two years."
Cracking usually comes down to what's underneath and how joints were cut, not bad luck. We assess the sub-base at the measure, spec the right thickness for the use, and cut control joints so movement happens where it should.
How we build driveways that last →"I've got no idea whether this price is fair."
Concreting quotes vary wildly because nobody explains what goes into them. Ours breaks out preparation, reinforcement, concrete and finishing so you can compare apples to apples with any other quote on the table.
How our quoting works →"They left concrete splatter and a wrecked lawn behind."
The job doesn't end when the truck leaves. Forms come off, edges get cleaned, splatter is washed off surfaces it shouldn't be on, and the site is left ready for whatever comes next.

What does concreting actually cost?
Anyone quoting a firm price before seeing your site is guessing. What we can tell you is what drives the number:
The single biggest factor.
Removing an old slab costs more than pouring onto prepared ground.
If the truck can't get close, concrete has to be barrowed or pumped.
Plain concrete costs less than exposed aggregate, coloured or stamped.
Slope, drainage and soil type all affect preparation.
